Angela Moore Running for Secretary of State in 2010
Breaking news. I’m pretty sure you heard it here first. Angela Moore, elections integrity advocate, will run for Secretary of State in 2010. According to Moore, she expects former 2006 candidates, State Sen. Gail Bucker and Fulton Commissioner Darryl Hicks, to run again. She does not expect former 2006 candidates Shyam Reddy or Scott Holcomb to run again. APN endorsed Moore in the 2006 Primary for SOS.
Moore intends to make elections integrity–meaning a voter verified paper trail for all elections in GA, with the E-voting software to be owned by the State of Georgia–the central point of her platform.
Also, Moore said that Carlotta Harrell–who ran in 2006 for School Superintendent–will run instead for State House. Harrell had previously told APN that she would run again for Superintendent, so we will find out more and get back to you. As previously noted on APB, Beth Farokhi is planning to run for School Superintendent in 2010. In 2006, APN endorsed Harrell over then-candidate, former US Rep. Denise Majette (D-GA).
