Event: Atlanta to Host National Action Network
The National Action Network, a group founded by the Rev. Al Sharpton, will hold its third annual summer conference in Atlanta from Aug. 13-15 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel 265 Peachtree Street NE Atlanta, Ga. 30303.
The conference will put a special focus on the death penalty and the case of Georgia death row inmate Troy Anthony Davis. Other issues will include HIV/AIDS, the role of the black church, criminal justice, the state of media, historically black colleges, and more.
