APN received an e-mail yesterday from Georgians For Alternatives to the Death Penalty (GFADP) noting the media is being denied access to Georgia death row inmate Troy Davis by the Department of Corrections.

Recent media inquiries from “60 Minutes,” “Dateline,” and the Associated Press have all been denied, GFADP reports, despite the allowance of media access to other inmates.

The NAACP is asking concerned citizens to send a letter to Commissioner Brian Owens at the Department of Corrections demanding Davis be allowed to speak to the media.
