Meanwhile, InsiderAdvantage recent conducted a poll asking Georgians if they favor legalizing access to medical cannabis on behalf of WAGA-TV and Morris News Service.
Fifty one percent of registered voters said they favor doctor-prescribed medical marijuana “in very specific instances, such as in a liquid form to reduce seizures in young children,” reported Morris News Service.
The poll was conducted by automated calls to 2,613 registered voters, and has a 1.9 percent margin of error.
Opposing it are 27 percent of those questioned, and another 22 percent were undecided or had no opinion.
Both Gov. Nathan Deal and House Speaker David Ralston have been quoted in news reports saying they are open to consider legalizing medical uses of cannabis.
Peachtree National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) announced today the upcoming release of results from their own statewide marijuana poll.
Peachtree NORML’s poll results will be made public on Tuesday, January 21, 1 pm at the State Capitol.
