First Quarter Disclosures Filed in 2013 Atlanta Municipal Races (UPDATE 1)

(APN) ATLANTA — Candidates for Mayor and City Council of Atlanta have filed their first quarter disclosure reports.

 

MAYOR

Incumbent Kasim Reed raised $324,361.50 this quarter, spent $75,211.93, and ended the quarter with $1,481,903.32.

Al Bartell filed an intent to run, but has yet to file a disclosure.

Announced candidate Paul Luna has neither filed a disclosure nor a notice of intent.

A candidate named Rod Mack has filed a notice of intent, but no disclosure.

A candidate who appears to be named Qaqi :- El Bey [punctuation included] has filed a notice of intent, and a disclosure report by mail that is not accessible online.

COUNCIL PRESIDENT

Incumbent Ceasar Mitchell raised 94,459 dollars this quarter, spent $28,417.18, and has $90,295.51 at the end of the first quarter.

Dave Walker has said he intends to challenge Mitchell, but has yet to file a notice of intent or a disclosure.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 1

Incumbent Carla Smith raised 5,120 dollars this quarter, and spent $822.43.  She ended the quarter with $28,864.05.

Robert Welsh raised 350 dollars, spent 87.55, and had 262.45 cash on hand.

Bill Powell has filed an intent to run, and has filed disclosures for the two previous quarters listing zero dollars in contributions.  He has yet to file a disclosure for this quarter.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 2

Incumbent Kwanza Hall raised $28,975.00 this quarter, and spent $30,897.93.  He ended the quarter with $135,144.85.

Jonathan Jones raised zero dollars.

Former candidate Todd Robinson raised 2,250 dollars, but refunded it to donors, with the notation, “Campaign Terminated.”

COUNCIL DISTRICT 3

Incumbent Ivory Lee Young raised $14,550 this quarter, and spent zero, ending the quarter with $14,550.

Rev. Darrion Fletcher filed his intent to run, but has not filed his first quarter campaign disclosure.

Patricia Harris-Crayton also filed her intent to run, but has not filed a disclosure.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 4

Incumbent Cleta Winslow has yet to file a disclosure for the first quarter.

Torriel “Torry” Lewis raised $3,355, spent $350.18, and ended the quarter with $3,004.82.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 5

Incumbent Natalyn Archibong raised 9,385 dollars this quarter, spent zero, and ended the quarter with $15,670.41.

Matt Rinker raised 10,990.01 this quarter, including in-kind contributions of 1,035 dollars, and a donation of 2,750 to himself.  He spent $4,658.11, ending the quarter with $6,296.90.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 6

Incumbent Alex Wan raised 29,300 dollars this quarter, spent $905.75, and ended the quarter with $48.490.25.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 7

Incumbent Howard Shook raised zero dollars this quarter, spent one hundred dollars, and ended the quarter with $102,060.36.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 8

Incumbent Yolanda Adrean raised 22,800 dollars this quarter, spent $10,121.81, and ended the quarter with $27,329.21.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 9

Incumbent Felicia Moore raised 500 dollars this quarter, spent $877.22, and ended the quarter with $3,647.11.  As previously reported by Atlanta Progressive News, Moore has an upcoming fundraiser this Saturday.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 10

Incumbent CT Martin raised 14,056 dollars this quarter, spent 6,326 dollars, and ended the quarter with $70,019.14.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 11

Incumbent Keisha Lance Bottoms raised 18,951 dollars this quarter, spent $5,208.58, and ended the quarter with $81,022.77.

COUNCIL DISTRICT 12

Incumbent Joyce Sheperd raised 6,650 dollars this quarter, spent $996.52, and ended the quarter with $12,391.83.

POST 1-AT-LARGE

Incumbent Michael Julian Bond has yet to file a disclosure for the first quarter.

POST 2-AT-LARGE

Incumbent Aaron Watson raised 4,500 dollars this quarter, spent $2,603.65, and ended the quarter with $1,896.35.

POST 3-AT-LARGE

Incumbent Lamar Willis has yet to file a disclosure for the first quarter.

Candidate Shelitha Robertson has not yet filed an intent to run.

Possible candidate, former State Rep. Ralph Long (D-Atlanta) has not yet filed an intent to run.

Andre Dickens filed an intent to run, but has not filed a disclosure.

UNKNOWN CANDIDATE

A Council candidate named Bobby Kenneth Montgomery filed a notice and disclosure, but neither show which district or at-large seat he is seeking.  Montgomery did not immediately return a phonecall seeking comment.  He appears to live in Buckhead’s District 7 and could thus challenge Councilman Shook or Watson.
