Reed tops in campaign cash [UPDATE]
Atlanta mayoral candidate Kasim Reed announced Wednesday that his campaign brought in $446,087.09 in cash donations for the three month period ending Sept. 30, better than Atlanta City Council President Lisa Borders’ $402,502.50.

The Reed campaign reports it has now raised more overall campaign cash, $1,411,613.59, than any of his competitors. Borders reports her campaign has pulled in $1,141,982.40.
Reed reports he has $210,000 cash on hand with less than a month before the Nov. 3 election. Borders did not disclose how much she has on hand.
We have not received any number from Mary Norwood or Jesse Spikes. More detailed breakdowns are not yet available through the city database.

UPDATE Friday 4:24 p.m.:
The City of Atlanta has posted online all the fundraising reports for the period ending Sept. 30 not only for the mayoral candidates but all city council candidates.
We’ve taken a preliminary look at the mayoral numbers and here’s a quick snapshot-
Spikes: Raised $120,172.45 total. $45,725 in contributions and a $71,000 loan. Spent $276,135.26 this period and has spent $551,382.78 to date. Total cash on hand $44,708.50.
Borders: Raised $402,502.50 total. $18,031.40 in donations under $101 and no loans. Spent $452,472.06 this period and has spent $906,424.56 to date. Has raised $1,140,210.83 to date and has $233,786.27 on hand.
Norwood: Raised $312,739.77 total. No loans. Spent $182,164.99 this period and has spent $713,537.97 to date. Has raised $1,334,132.21 to date and has $620,594.24 on hand.
Reed: Raised $446,087.09 total. No loans and $14,305 in donations under $101. Spent $669,149.09 and has spent $1,198,489.15 to date. Has raised $1,411,613.59 to date and has $213,124.44 on hand.
