New IA Poll Shows Norwood Gaining, at 42%
A new poll by Insider Advantage conducted for WSB-TV shows Mary Norwood has gained to 42%.
Lisa Borders is in second place at 34%. Kasim Reed is trailing at 9%. Jesse Spikes has 2%. 1% supported other candidates.
It looks like the undecideds are deciding.
Reed’s campaign dismissed the poll in a press release, pointing to a poll done by a group that is also doing paid consulting work for the campaign, showing Reed in double-digits, more closely behind Borders.
This would be the first major jump for Norwood, who has been in the low to mid thirties practically since the beginning of this race. The Norwood campaign hopes it can win in the General Election and avoid a really ugly runoff.
