US Rep. Conyers to Speak in Atlanta Wednesday

Rep. Conyers, the author of House Resolution 676, will speak on the need for a single-payer healthcare system which will provide improved Medicare for all!

The IBEW Building is the white building with the peach on top south of downtown Atlanta just west of the interchange of I 75/85 and I 20 (the stadium is across the interstate on the east side). Lots of parking!  Easy to Google. You can reach by going south on Washington St. from Memorial Dr. (going by the Capitol); Washington continues as Pulliam.  Turn right into parking lot; auditorium is directly south of the IBEW building with the peach!

 

Rep. Conyers has represented Detroit in Washington since 1964 — 45 years! Out-front fighting for working peoples’ rights; co-founder of the Black Caucus in 1969;  lead sponsor of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994; now chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and last week voted against continued funding for war in Afghanistan!
