Candidates Qualify for State Senate District 43
(APN) ATLANTA — Qualifying has been completed for the Special Election for the State Senate District 43, the seat held by State Sen. Ronald Ramsey (D-Lithonia). Ramsey has been appointed to a new judge position in DeKalb County, as part of the new State Court Traffic Division.
The special election for State Senate District 43 will occur in portions of DeKalb, Newton, and Rockdale Counties.
The election is a non-partisan, special election with no party primary. However, each candidate’s party affiliation, if any, will be listed on the ballot. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 03, 2015. A run-off election, if needed, will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015. The voter registration deadline for both special elections is Monday, October 5, 2015.
