As previously reported by APN, Councilman Michael Julian Bond’s (Post 1-at-large) resolution apologizing for the Atlanta Eagle raid of September 2009, was amended in Community Development/Human Resources Committee to limit the apology only to the 28 named plaintiffs of the federal lawsuit.

The amended resolution passed Full Council 14-0 on Monday, with Councilwoman Felicia Moore (District 9) absent.  Bond previously told APN–and confirmed in a recent interview with Georgia Voice magazine–that he would be willing to introduce a separate resolution in the future for excluded Plaintiff Chris Lopez, or any of the other Eagle raid victims, once they complete their legal process with the City.
